Tawa College support for Typhoon Haiyan Victims

On Friday 22nd November, Tawa College is supporting the Philippines disaster by having a mufti day with a difference.  Students are invited to come to school in mufti but are also expected to bring in on of the following items (clothing, shoes, toy, canned food, blanket).  Tawa College will collect these items and ensure they are collected on Friday and contribute to the worldwide aid effort that is currently taking place.

Various Wellington Filipino community groups with the Philippine Embassy are fundraising for the victims of Haiyan typhoon:
17th November (Sunday) - NZ Filifest Cultural Group is fundraising at Lower Hutt Civic Square from 11:30 to 1:30
21st November (Thursday) - Street Appeal around Wellington, Lower Hutt and Porirua 
23rd November (Saturday) - Open Concert/Show from 1:30 - 5:30 pm at Wellington Civic Square.
30th November (Saturday) - Christmas Festival from 11:00 at Sacred Heart College, 65 Laings Road, Lower Hutt (PASKO The Filipino Christmas Festival)
