A group of Year 12 and Year 13 Japanese students have just returned from a trip to Japan. Twelve Year 12 students and five Year 13 students, along with two teachers, Mr Yung & Ms Jalil, spent 19 days travelling Japan. During this time we took turns navigating the complicated transportation systems, practising the language, experiencing the culture and, of course, trying out all the different foods (and the different drinks the vending machines had to offer). Our whirlwind tour comprised of stays in Tokyo, Kawaguchi Lake, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Osaka.
The trip was tiring but enriching and truly fun and exciting. We practised a lot of Japanese, had many new experiences, made life-long friends at our sister school Hannan High School, and definitely contributed to the running of a number of vending machines and Japanese restaurants across Japan.
