Outside PTA (Fri 31 Mar)
April is Global Astronomy Month. At Tawa College anyone is welcome to come along any Friday evening and also this Saturday, April 1. We have a number of powerful telescopes. Viewing will start from 7pm this weekend but is weather dependent - too much cloud means viewing is not possible.

Juniors and Seniors:
Juniors come along to a a brief meeting at start of lunch on Monday 3rd April to meet with Mrs Boyd to discuss project ideas for the school Science Fair/Regional Science Fair. Seniors if you are interested please come along for more information about how to prepare a project for the Regional Science Fair.
There will be another opportunity on Tuesday 4th April at 1.40pm to see me (also in J1) if you can't make this time.
Volleyball Teams - End of Term Break-up

All Boys and Girls Volleyball players need to bring $10 to school before this Thursday for the end of Term Break-up dinner. Boys come to C11 during Form-time to give your $10 to Mr Foulds. We will have a "Friendly Game" with both Boys and Girls Teams at 3.30pm in the Old Gym on Friday. Then Dinner in the PTA Centre from 5pm - 7pm, behind the Canteen. No Training this week, next week Tuesdays only from 3.30 - 5.30pm. Mr Foulds.

Golf Ball Drop
The Golf Ball Drop is back and bigger than ever! On Wednesday, April 5th hundreds of Golf Balls will be rolling down the school drive! To take part in this event the 40 Hour Famine committee will be coming around form classes to sell BALLS for the event and outside the school Hall at lunch times. Cost per ball is $1 or 6 balls for $5. Prizes for heat winners and a GRAND PRIZE for the overall winner. Who will win?!?!
Mr Whippy Cometh
In support of 40 Hour Famine here at Tawa College two Mr Whippy trucks will be dispensing your favourite ice creams on Monday, April 3rd at lunchtime outside the school gym. All money raised will go towards this year's 40 Hour Famine cause - Children affected by war in Syria.
Gold coin MUFTI DAY TODAY, March 31st. All money goes towards this year's World Vision 40 Hour Famine event!!! Gold coin will be collected during Form time.

RUGBY U65KG PLAYERS
All Rugby Boys in the U65kg team MUST come to the gym at 1.20 on Friday to be officially weighed in by the Rugby Regional Development Officer to be eligible to play in the U65 team for the season
SPORTS TEAM CLASHES
At this time of the year there may be times where summer sports and pre-season training for winter sports clash. Please remember your commitment to the summer teams. You will need to speak to your winter coaches and explain the situation.
